I am proud to have been your local councillor for the past eight years. Over that time I’ve been able to work with many fantastic community groups and meet lots people across Hillsborough.
The past two years have been full of change, what hasn’t changed is my commitment to being your councillor and my passion to make Hillsborough a better place to live. What happens to our area and local services matters to me, both as your councillor and because I live in the area, use the local shops and am a bus user.
As your councillor I’ve been able me to help people and support local initiatives get off the ground. I’m also involved with lots of local groups. I work at volunteer at RIVA project, a charity supporting disabled young people. I am the Secretary of Loxley and Wisewood Tenants and Residents Association, helping to organise summer trips and events for residents.
The new park in Wisewood has been a major project for many years and is very close to completion. Helping get the park over the line is one of my proudest achievements and I’m looking forward to hearing from lots of families who now have a new playground on their doorstep.
I’m also proud of the work I and the Hillsborough Labour team have done collecting for local food banks, supporting residents groups and championing local businesses, especially after all the difficulties they’ve faced over the past two years.
Over the years I have regularly supported community groups across the ward from Winn Gardens to Infirmary Road and supported agencies providing services to the most vulnerable in our area. This work has never been more important than now.
I’m proud of my record working for Hillsborough, please consider voting for me in this election.
We’re working for you all year round
I’ve been working hard with the Hillsborough Labour Party team all year round. We’ve spoken to over 1,500 residents since 2021. As a result we’ve picked up local issues and have reported or taken action on these.
