Sheffield Labour councillors have been supporting businesses across the city and promoting the Economic Recovery Fund 2. Its £2MILLION worth of money secured by Sheffield Labour to improve our Local High Streets.

Groups of businesses and local organisations can make small bids of up to £50 thousand pounds or larger bids of up to £200 thousand pounds.

Cllr Nighat Basharat Labour Councillor for Nether Edge & Sharrow said:

‘After speaking to business owners, it was clear they needed support to access this money – as a result I have asked the Council to provide an application support officer to assist business owners through the process.

‘The money can be used to improve shop fronts, to add planting or seating to make the area more appealing.

‘The money can also be used to organise events and business forums as well.

‘The deadline for applications has been extended to 31st May, so there is time, but I urge businesses to speak to us as soon as possible.
